01

What exactly is Hatzolah of Los Angeles?

Hatzolah of LA is a volunteer emergency medical service (EMS) organization made up of trained EMTs and first responders from the local community. We respond to medical emergencies 24/7, arriving quickly to begin care until city resource's arrive. Our mission is to save lives, provide compassionate care, and support our neighbors in their time of need.

02

What areas do you serve?

We currently respond within specific Los Angeles neighborhoods, including Fairfax/La Brea, Pico-Robertson, North Hollywood, Hancock Park, Valley Village, Encino–Tarzana, and West Hollywood.

03

Should I call Hatzolah instead of 911?

Always call 911 first in a life-threatening emergency. Because our volunteers live and work locally, we often arrive within minutes and can begin care while fire/EMS are on their way.

04

How do I contact you for urgent situations?

You can reach Hatzolah of LA directly by calling our emergency hotline: (800) 613-1911). Keep this number saved in your phone and posted at home. For all emergencies, please also dial 911.

05

Is there a cost to your services?

No. Hatzolah of LA’s services are always free of charge. We are a nonprofit organization sustained entirely through donations and community support.

06

Can I help—or volunteer—with Hatzolah?

There are many ways to help. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer EMT or dispatcher, we provide training and orientation. Community members can also get involved by supporting our work through donations, hosting awareness events, or helping with outreach and logistics.
